The Funeral Services Training Package
WFS02 Funeral Services Training Package is the current endorsed package for the Funeral Industry. It was developed by the National Wholesale Retail and Personal Services (WRAPS) Industry Training Council in 2002. The package contains 12 Nationally Recognised qualifications.
Funeral Industry Development Australia’s scope of Training entitles us to train, assess and issue certificates in:

WFS20202 Certificate II in Funeral Services (Funeral Operations)

WFS30202 Certificate III in Funeral Services (Funeral Operations)

WFS40202 Certificate IV in Funeral Services (Embalming), and
-
WFS40102 Certificate IV in Funeral Services.
Learning Materials:
Since the introduction of the WFS02 Training Package, creative and interesting new learning materials have been developed.
The learning materials include all underpinning knowledge and skills required to enable participants to apply their knowledge in a broad range of situations. The materials utilise a variety of learning methods – practical demonstration, group discussion, videos (where appropriate), role plays etc.
Assessment:
In keeping with the AQTF standards, assessments have moved away from written examinations and a “score” or mark out of 100. Broader assessment tools are used to establish competency. These include verbal and written quizzes, practical skills demonstration and questioning, maintenance of a journal, case studies assignments and role plays.
