Description:

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of funeral operations or mortuary work roles depending on the specialist stream and elective options chosen.  The qualification is designed to reflect the role of employees who work relatively autonomously and may coordinate and supervise others with such titles as “Funeral Arranger”, “Funeral Consultant” or “Funeral Conductor”

 

Pre-requisite

Students must be employed in a Funeral Business

 

Qualification rules

The certificate requires the completion of 13 or 14  units, 5 core units, 1 unit from Specialist Steam A (Mortuary Administration or 2 electives from Specialist stream B (Funeral)  and 7 electives.  One elective may be selected from any endorsed training package.
